Pauline shares her story

“Working at Lopital feels like coming home – only with better coffee and less washing up.”

After working as a physiotherapist for many years and enjoying it immensely, I eventually felt ready for something new. I wanted a role in which I could still make a difference to people, but in a different way.

During my search for a position where personal contact was central, I came across Lopital. The company’s people-centred approach and mission immediately appealed to me. No fuss, just genuine care and attention.

What struck me straight away was the atmosphere within the team. Warm, open and collegial. I’m from Breda, so I know what a friendly atmosphere feels like – and you certainly find that here too. We work hard, but there is always room for a joke, and we genuinely support one another. That balance between professionalism and a personal approach makes Lopital a great place to work.

What makes my work at Lopital particularly special is that I can use my healthcare background every day. I understand the challenges healthcare organisations face and can genuinely think along with them. That makes my work not only meaningful, but also personal.

At the same time, Lopital continues to invest in smart solutions and innovation, which keeps the work interesting and future-focused.

From the very beginning, I felt that I could be myself here. And if you show initiative, Lopital gives you plenty of room to grow. My move from ergonomics specialist to Account Manager is a great example of that. The focus is really on who you are and where you want to go. There are no rigid boxes – there are opportunities.

One moment I will always remember was visiting a client for a fitting with one of our shower-toilet chairs. This man had not been able to shower for two months. Something that most of us take for granted had become an enormous limitation for him.

When I saw that our chair was suitable, I immediately left it with him for a trial. His reaction when he was finally able to shower again – the look on his face and the sense of relief – is something I will never forget. Those are the moments that make it all worthwhile.
